Islamabad: Earthquake tremors measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale were felt in various parts of Pakistan, causing panic among residents.

The tremors were experienced in the federal capital Islamabad and several districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In fear, citizens recited the Kalima Tayyaba and rushed out of their homes and offices.

According to the Seismic Monitoring Agency of the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), the earthquake’s magnitude was recorded at 5.4 on the Richter scale.

The PMD stated that the epicenter of the earthquake was the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan, while its depth was recorded at 187 kilometers underground
