Karachi Desk ) Speaking to the media during a visit to inquire after the health of JUI-F leader Allama Ikram-ul-Qadri in Khanewal, Maulana Fazlur Rehman said the Constitution of Pakistan was being ridiculed.

He said two provinces were already facing serious unrest while the government was discussing the creation of new provinces. He added that the government had completely lost public confidence.

Maulana Fazlur Rehman termed the government’s decision to create 15 provinces wrong, saying the earlier decision to merge FATA had also proved to be a disastrous one.

He said talks were underway with the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, adding that a joint strategy would be formulated in the assemblies.
