Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the Houthi militia's attacks on Saudi oil tankers, reaffirming Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kingdom. He stated that he, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the people of Pakistan stand firmly with the Saudi leadership and its people during this critical time.
During a telephone conversation with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif denounced the attacks on Saudi oil tankers in the Red Sea in the strongest terms.
The Prime Minister described the attacks as completely unacceptable and a blatant violation of international law, stressing that such actions pose a serious threat to the freedom of navigation, international trade, regional peace, security, and stability.
Reaffirming Pakistan's solidarity with Saudi Arabia, the Prime Minister said that he, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and the entire Pakistani nation stand shoulder to shoulder with the Saudi leadership and the brotherly people of Saudi Arabia.
He also reiterated Pakistan's unwavering support for the Kingdom's security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and prosperity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further emphasized that Pakistan would continue to work closely with Saudi Arabia and the international community to promote peace, security, and stability, while ensuring the uninterrupted flow of maritime trade through the Red Sea, the Strait of Hormuz, and other vital shipping routes.
During the conversation, the Prime Minister conveyed his best wishes to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, while Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman appreciated Pakistan's consistent support and the strong brotherly ties between the two countries.
