Islamabad: Pakistan's Defence Minister, Khawaja Asif, has claimed that Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi is the most powerful minister in the current government and, in many matters, is not even answerable to the Prime Minister.

Speaking on a television program, Khawaja Asif said that despite serving as Interior Minister, Mohsin Naqvi does not appear to be an active part of the government's decision-making system. He added that he had seen Naqvi attend only two or three cabinet meetings.

The Defence Minister further stated that Mohsin Naqvi has attended Parliament only seven or eight times. He remarked, "If Mohsin Naqvi himself is complaining, then perhaps we should all go home."
