Karachi Bar Association General Secretary calls for the immediate and safe recovery of Priya Kumari and all missing children
Karachi: Muhammad Arshad Shar, General Secretary of the Karachi Bar Association, has expressed his full and unwavering support for the peaceful protest organized by the Action Committee for the recovery of Priya Kumari.
He stated that the Sindh Police's continued failure to recover Priya Kumari despite the passage of several years is deeply concerning and reflects serious shortcomings in the investigation and handling of cases involving missing children. The inability to trace Priya Kumari and many other missing children demands urgent attention, effective action, and accountability from the relevant authorities.
As General Secretary of the Karachi Bar Association, Muhammad Arshad Shar reaffirmed his complete solidarity with the ongoing peaceful movement for the recovery of Priya Kumari and all other missing children. He announced that upon returning from Umrah, he would join his colleagues and members of the legal fraternity in the peaceful protest to reaffirm their collective commitment to this just and humanitarian cause.
He strongly urged the Government of Sindh, the Sindh Police, and all relevant law enforcement and investigative agencies to take immediate, serious, and effective measures to ensure the safe recovery of Priya Kumari and all other missing children. He also called for the identification, investigation, and prosecution of those responsible, ensuring they are brought to justice in accordance with the law.
Muhammad Arshad Shar emphasized that ensuring the recovery and protection of every missing child is not only a legal obligation but also a humanitarian, moral, and constitutional responsibility. He reaffirmed the commitment to continue this struggle through peaceful, lawful, and democratic means until every missing child is safely reunited with their family.
