Rawalpindi: General Syed Amir Raza has officially assumed charge as the Commander of the National Strategic Command. Following the assumption of his new responsibilities, he met Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Syed Amir Raza was presented with a Guard of Honour by a smartly turned-out contingent of the Pakistan Army upon his arrival at GHQ.
During the visit, he laid a floral wreath at the Martyrs' Memorial, offered Fateha, and paid tribute to the sacrifices of the nation's martyrs while praying for their eternal peace and elevated status.
The ISPR stated that after assuming command, General Syed Amir Raza held a meeting with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, who congratulated him on taking over the important responsibilities of the National Strategic Command and extended his best wishes for success in his new role.
According to the military's media wing, the meeting also included detailed discussions on professional matters, national security issues, and the operational preparedness of the National Strategic Command.
