Islamabad: Pakistan created history by winning the Central Asian Volleyball Championship (CAVA) for the third consecutive time, completing a remarkable hat-trick. Playing at the Liaquat Gymnasium in Islamabad, the national team outclassed Bangladesh 3-0 in the final to claim the gold medal and championship trophy.
Pakistan dominated all three sets, winning 25-20, 25-16, and 25-20 to seal a convincing victory.
The national team remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, winning all five group-stage matches before defeating Sri Lanka 3-0 in the semi-final to secure a place in the final.
At the closing ceremony, Pakistan received the gold medal and championship trophy, while Bangladesh claimed silver and Sri Lanka finished third with the bronze medal.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif congratulated the national volleyball team on securing their third consecutive Central Asian title and praised the players, coaching staff, and management for their outstanding performance.
