Abu Dhabi: Aurangzeb Ahmed, the son of Punjab’s senior minister Maryam Aurangzeb and one of Pakistan’s youngest martial arts fighters, has secured a remarkable victory at the International Mixed Martial Arts Youth World Championship.

Competing in the global event being held in Abu Dhabi, Aurangzeb Ahmed won his opening bout against South Africa’s 12-year-old fighter, Ruben Pretorius, after an intense and thrilling contest.

Demonstrating excellent skills throughout the match, Aurangzeb Ahmed emerged victorious and advanced to the next stage of the tournament.

His next fight will be against Uzbekistan’s Dovletbek Alimov.

The championship features over 1,000 athletes from 82 countries around the world, and Aurangzeb Ahmed has brought pride to Pakistan by winning his very first match.

It is worth noting that earlier, Aurangzeb Ahmed had also defeated Faizan via knockout in the 52kg category of the Pakistan MMA Contender Series
