Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision to shift PTI founder Imran Khan to a hospital.
In a statement on X, Khawaja Asif said that PTI’s desire to secure an NRO for its leader is now reaching new heights, adding that the party’s celebrations reflect a strong wish to somehow get its leader out of jail.
The Defence Minister said that the PTI founder in the past used to demand harsher conditions for other politicians in prison, whereas today his own party is seen pleading for his transfer from jail to a hospital.
Khawaja Asif added that before celebrating the court’s decision, PTI should respond to the clear contradictions in its narrative.
It is worth noting that the Supreme Court has ordered that PTI founder Imran Khan be shifted to Shifa International Hospital until the next hearing and has directed the formation of a medical board for his treatment
